Celebration of Life: Aug 2, 4:00pm. We are saddened to share the passing of Kel Burgoyne on July 11, 2025. A Celebration of Life Service will be held here at the Collegedale Community Church on August 2, at 4 PM. All who knew and loved Kel are welcome to attend. Please join us in honoring his life, legacy, and the many ways he touched the hearts of those around him. A visitation will also be held at 3 PM for those who wish to speak with his family and share memories before the service.
Child Impact Sabbath: July 26, 9am & 11:30am. This Sabbath we have a truly special program featuring guest speaker Tom Evans from Child Impact International. Tom will share an important message with everyone. During the children's story, we'll have an uplifting message, and every child who comes forward will receive a FREE copy of Child Impact International's first children's book, "Angel Leaves the Station." This is a powerful, true story based in Kigoma, Tanzania. We invite everyone to join us for this meaningful program!
Rescue Vespers: July 26, 5:00pm. Join the fight against human trafficking. Human trafficking is an underground crime affecting approximately 50 million individuals worldwide. For 11 years, Child Impact International has been dedicated to leading the fight against human trafficking through our Operation Child Rescue initiative. Join us for a special evening to learn about our rescue projects, hear stories from our field partners, and find out more about our new Rescue a Girl initiative.
Quilting for the Homeless: July 27, 5:00-8:00pm, C207: Pine. ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME! We need help with cutting, pinning, and sewing. Come "cut up" with Frank and Peggy next Sunday! We'll be making quilts out of old blue jeans to provide warmth and comfort to those experiencing homelessness. It'll be "sew" much fun! Bring your favorite snack to share! We will be quilting in the new community center building, room C207: Pine.
International Food Fair: August 3, 1:00-2:30pm, Fellowship Hall. We're excited to announce our very first International Food Fair. Tickets for individual food items will be available for sale at the door. The proceeds from this event support our CCC Building Fund. A dessert auction will take place about every 15 minutes throughout the dining experience, also benefiting the building fund. We encourage people who plan to attend to RSVP HERE so we have an idea of how much food to prepare. We can't wait to taste the world with you! Invite your friends and neighbors! Also, we are looking for volunteers to help make this event a big success! We'd love for you to host a booth by preparing and serving dishes that represent the diverse countries and cultures within our church family. Mom’s Bible Study: Aug 14, 7:30-9:00 pm. Join us this fall as we embark on a profound study of 1, 2, and 3 John! Explore some of the Bible's richest letters, penned by one of Jesus' closest disciples. We'll learn how to live out "love in action" directly from Scripture each session. This FREE 7-meeting series will be meeting every other Thursday, August 14 - November 13, 2025, with the exception of October. (Please note that we will be meeting Oct 9 and Oct 30 in that month.) Meetings take place in the Community Center at our church, C210: Summit Room & additional breakout rooms.
Reoccurring Events
Prayer Meeting: Wednesdays, 6:00pm-7:15pm. This weekly Wednesday study is meeting in the Connection Corner Room, #205 (second floor, across from the administration offices). Pastor Jerry Arnold is sharing an interactive Bible study from 1st Corinthians, with prayer and relevant discussions.
Vespers: Fridays, 7:00-8:00pm, Connection Corner. Open Sabbath with others at a casual and traditional vespers service with hymn singing, a devotional thought, and group prayer time.
Prayer Walk Group: Fridays, 10:30am, Studio Rm204. We warmly invite you to join us and share your gift of prayer as we walk the church grounds, lifting up our congregation in heartfelt intercession. This is a powerful way to minister to our church family with the blessing of prayer. For more information, please contact the church office.
Family Gym Night: Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the Month, 5-7pm. Come join us for some fun family time! We will have an ice breaker, testimony time, and games. For those who prefer to be active we will have games such as volleyball and basketball. If you prefer table games bring your favorites! Also please bring some snacks to share. Request to join so that we can notify you should there be any changes.
Never Alone: Mondays, 6:00-7:15pm, Room C201: Mountain View. This group is to help provide support and hope to people with cancer in a holistic way by looking at a variety of approaches in facing a diagnosis and focusing on the reality that with God, we are never alone. We will be starting on the 21st and then continue to meet every Monday night at 6pm.
CC Riders: The first Sunday of each month until October, 9:00am at Jack’s Restaurant in Collegedale. Kickstands up at 10am. CC Riders is an open group for all who have an interest in motorcycles. If you are a current or former motorcycle rider you are welcome to join us at dinners, or as a passenger on rides if you're not currently riding. Child Impact Annual Open House: July 27, 10am-4pm. Learn more about the work of Child Impact International at our come-and-go open house. Tour our office, enjoy light food and refreshments provided by High Su, meet with leadership and staff, peruse our silent auction, and learn about the important projects our team is engaged in. All children attending receive a free book. Located on the campus of Southern Adventist University next to the ABC, 5016 University Drive.
Chattanooga African Violet Society: Sunday, July 27, 2pm at Ooltewah SDA Church. Please join us for the next meeting. The address is: 9209 Amos Rd, Ooltewah. This is a different venue than usual so please take note. This meeting is our Summer potluck so bring your favorite dish and we'll fellowship together!
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Friday, August 1, 6:00pm at Collegedale Academy. You're invited to a Ribbon Cutting & Dedication Ceremony of the new elementary building. Join us for a special evening of gratitude and dedication as we celebrate the opening of our new elementary school building—made possible through God's provision and the generosity of many. We hope you will stand with us as we commit this space to God’s glory and prepare to welcome students into classrooms designed to educate, equip, and inspire for eternity.
GCC WM One-Day Retreat: Ladies Leading is a special one-day retreat on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Rogersville, TN. This event is for women (ages 16+) with a heart for serving the Lord. Whether God has called you to a leadership role or to serve faithfully behind the scenes, this day is for you. Come and be encouraged and equipped in your unique calling! (Location Note: While this year's retreat is hosted in our Northern region, we will bring the event to our Southern region next year. Educational Assistance Scholarship, (EAS): EAS for the 2025-26 school year may be
applied for by families of CCC who have financial needs and are planning to enroll their student(s) in a conference-sponsored, K-12 Adventist school within 50 miles of Collegedale (includes GCA). EAS applications are now available on the Church Center App, or on the Church Website.

Financial Support to Non-Constituent School: This form is for the 2025-26 school year, for CCC MEMBERS to request $120 per month to subsidize the non-constituent tuition rate at GCC elementary schools where CCC is not a constituent church (Bowman Hills/Cleveland, Learning Tree/Dalton, Lester Coon/Apison, OAKS/Ooltewah, and Standifer Gap/Chattanooga).

Labels Make Cents: Help us raise money for the Conference Food Label Program for the elderly. Please turn in the whole label on canned Loma Linda products. You can drop them off at the Welcome Desk or the 2nd floor, North Wing hallway entrance to Sabbath School classes. Thank you for your participation!
Volunteers Needed: Saturdays at 10:00am, Grades 6-8 Sabbath School Room. To stay in compliance we need two adults present per class. We are looking for parents who would be willing to stay in the room with their middle grader during SS time. The sign-up sheet will be in White Oak Rm, C115 from 10-11am.
